Ol Pejeta Conservancy, set against the striking backdrop of Mount Kenya’s foothills, spans Laikipia County’s diverse terrain.
From marshlands to savannahs and acacia thickets, this 36,420-hectare reserve was once a cattle ranch and now serves as a haven for wildlife.
Home to the Big 5 and 300 bird species, Ol Pejeta is renowned for its rhino population, particularly the northern white rhinos under 24-hour armed guard.
The conservancy’s innovative use of bomas allows herders to protect their cattle while preserving the grasslands.

The camp, part of the Asilia collection, offers seven spacious, eco-friendly tents along the tranquil banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River. Families are welcomed warmly, with activities like the Junior Ranger Programme ensuring that children are entertained and engaged in the wonders of nature.

- Morning: Begin your day with a wake-up call followed by tea or coffee. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive, perhaps opting for a picnic breakfast in the bush for an immersive experience.
- Mid-Morning: Return to camp for a mid-morning break, with time to freshen up and relax before lunch.
- Afternoon: After a leisurely lunch, indulge in a siesta or spend time on your tent’s deck, soaking in the bush views. Recharge with afternoon tea before setting off on an afternoon/evening game drive, complete with sundowners.
- Evening: Arrive back at camp for drinks and dinner, where you can unwind and share stories of the day’s adventures with fellow guests.

Game Drives
Explore the diverse wildlife and birdlife of Ol Pejeta Conservancy on a game drive from Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. Our open-sided vehicles seat up to four people, allowing for an intimate safari experience. Guests also have the opportunity to try our electric vehicle, offering a carbon-neutral and silent drive through the wilderness.
Night Drives
Experience the thrill of a night safari as dusk falls over the conservancy. Witness nocturnal species such as aardvark, zorilla, and white-tailed mongoose, and observe predators on the hunt in the cloak of darkness. Visit the 2.8 km² enclosure where the last two northern white rhinos on Earth reside, protected by 24-hour armed security.

Horse Riding with Rhinos (Endangered Species Enclosure)

Dog Tracking
Visit the conservancy’s bloodhound dog kennels and learn about the training that transforms these canines into anti-poaching patrollers.

Lion Tracking

Running the Wild
